![]() Thanks for all u do I super enjoy this blog and feel like I can stay in touch and ahead of some of the products to be on the look out. I also have one I ordered from City Color that has the three basics. Except the WetnWild one courtesy of this blog I was on top of that one and really like it. And it looks like I may be placing another soon. With the elf palette it has gorgeous nude shades and the contour is perfect because the color is perfect for mimicking a shadow effect. I haven't found anything I don't like yet with Elf products. I have five if the smudge pots and have seen that there r new ones. Their "samples" are really generous sizes too. The last time I ordered from the Clinique website I got deluxe samples of two eyeshadow trios, a chubby stick, and a scrub free with a $35 purchase. but there are other websites as well out there if you google that focus just on clinique. I subscribe to this blog that lists all the GWP and coupon/code deals for department store brands along with some others. If you wait Clinique has great gift with purchase offers that make their products a lot better deal. I have the coral and it's nice, I just ordered the red. Clinique also has some that are slightly more expensive than the Pixie ($17?) but come in four colors so they adjust but lean towards a certain color if that makes any sense. What is it: A compact powder contour palette made up of four bronzing shades, designed to sculpt, shade, and brighten your complexion. It's one of their tinted brilliance balm sticks I think it's called Unique Pink. Use a pointed powder brush to apply the highlighting shade down the center of the nose, over the cheekbones and brow bone, forehead center, and cupid’s bow to lift. So many come out hot bubble gum pink which just doesn't work on my skin tone. How to use a contour palette: Use a sculpting brush, apply your chosen powder or custom bronzing shade to the sides of the nose, hollows of cheeks, and jawline. If the ELF one doesn't work out for you Pixie has an adjusting lip tint that is $14. My review/demo on the new ELF Studio Contour Palette they just came out with It's one the best cheap drugstore-priced contour kits and one of the best ELF m.

For any given wallpaper, you have options for separate image downloads for left and right screens, a full image to stretch across two screens, or the original image download. The resolution and format choices are also remarkable. All of the dual-monitor backgrounds are professional, of excellent quality, and generally diverse enough to appeal to pretty much everyone in the office. Hovering over an image will give its title, while a glance at the icons below will show you the number of times it’s been downloaded and the user rating of the image. WallpaperFusion’s browsing is snappy and filled with useful data. Even better, the images are high-quality, and you can easily configure them to your screens’ unique resolutions and aspect ratios. Luckily, there’s a wide range of dual-monitor background options available, from modern designs to artsy layouts. ![]() Unfortunately, some configurations only let you select a single background for each screen. However, if you’re working with dual monitors, finding the perfect wallpaper can be quite a task. I realize I may be semi-impatient, but is there a reason this game is so slow when I try to run it? Once I was in the game, it was easy enough to work and I didn't notice any drop in in-game performance, but getting there was a massive pain.Looking to jazz up your workspace? Download a sleek, high-quality wallpaper. Even when I had done that, the game still took about a minute or two to actually come up / display the menu once I had started the game, when typically games can get to the menu immediately after whatever publisher / tech credits that usually show at the beginning of games comes up at about 10-15 seconds. I finally got the game working by disabling my second monitor, setting the game to full screen borderless window. This then froze the game, as it had basically figured I had alt-tabbed out. Unfortunately, it didn't have any effect, and when I did try to click on my main monitor (the one that had the Windows cursor), the game predictably lost focus and the game screen went black. This was supposed to keep the mouse cursor fixed within the game window, and works with Magicka 2. I figured this could be because my mouse wasn't being locked to that particular window, I would just have to use the "Lock mouse to current window" function of DisplayFusion. I also noticed that when my mouse was on my main monitor, it reverted to the normal "Windows" mouse, but when it was on my secondary monitor, it showed up as the Helldivers cursor. If I had played the game like this, the game would have lost focus if my mouse wandered into the other monitor and clicked. However, being that I had a dual monitor setup, my mouse was able to scroll over to the other monitor. Figuring that Full Screen might have something to do with this (duh), I set it to cordless windowed mode.Īfter a minute or two of waiting for the graphics settings to finish up, the game was finally in the cordless windowed mode at my set resolution. ![]() I tried to run the game again, and the game started in windowed mode / default res. That seemed a bit slow, so I went ahead and did my ctrl+alt+del - end process thing to kill the game. I tried to alt-tab out and it took about 30 seconds for there to even be a response. I think at that point I decided that it had died. Then the screen flickers a few times (as it does when you set a game to full screen), and a black screen shows for a couple of minutes. I then see the screen mode set to full screen and then to the resolution. I went to graphical settings, set the resolution to 1920 x 1080, and set the screen mode to Full Screen mode. Obviously noting the windowed mode, I went to fix that. The standard default windowed mode came up, the starting cinematic (SUPER EEEEEEAARTH! HOO RAH) played, I got to the main menu. ![]() So, last night, I tried to start the game. I roll with a quad core processor (2.4 ghz I believe),ġ920 x 1080 60hz dual monitor setup using DisplayFusion I spent quite a bit of time struggling to get the game working last night, and while I eventually succeeded, I had to do a few backflips. ![]() ![]() See below each video for audio/downloading options. To hear all of these gifted people sing these songs has just been the greatest blessing ever.” I’m not afraid of it, but I’m just not that crazy about it. “I’m just overwhelmed by this night,” Gill said of the honor. There’s the so-called Woke in-group which is the mainstream progressive movements advocating for the rights of minorities and marginal groups. Now the article is pretty typical of any culture wars-related content. And then there’s The Cut article which has the beautiful clickbait title “ Did Olivia Wilde Just Make Jordan Peterson Cry?” and is more or less a blow-by-blow of who said what. Peterson in turn reacts to this in an interview with Piers Morgan which is the clip that first grabbed my attention on YouTube. Now for those of you who don’t know the story basically Olivia Wilde - who to be honest I only remember from The OC - made a movie where the bad guy was based on Jordan Peterson. And more than that: it’s a co-dependant psychological mirror. And so curious about this as I was, I took a little time to sit down and explore it and basically what I came up with was the striking realisation (though it seems really obvious now) that this whole culture wars bonanza is a psychological mirror. I’ve consumed a lot of culture wars content over the last five or six years (as we all have I’m sure) but it’s been a while and I don’t know whether it’s a certain level of distance I have from this sort of content, or whether some of the things we’ve been researching on the blog these past few months have had an effect on me but there was a different awareness bubbling beneath the surface. ![]() I quickly devoured what turned out to be a short little article but something about it really struck me and I couldn’t immediately figure out why. But alas escape from the algorithms was not so final as a couple of days ago I came across an article on the New York Magazine’s online wing The Cut and they managed to ensnare me. It was really enticing but I managed to avoid algorithmic hijacking on the way to whatever it is I’d actually come to watch. I was on my phone at some point last week and I came across this video of Jordan Peterson on Piers Morgan. ![]() In the meantime I thought we’d do something a little bit different this week. That and I want to write a few articles on some developmental models so Maslow and Spiral Dynamics could be on the horizon in the next few months as well with all going according to plan. I really enjoyed making the profile on Heidegger and I thought it would be interesting to put together a series on Existentialist philosophers so we’re going to look at Kierkegaard in the next instalment and then maybe Sartre, de Beauvoir, Camus and Jaspers and I guess Nietzsche would even fit this category so maybe even a broad overview of Nietzsche which would be fun. But we have some exciting stuff planned for the next few months. I was away visiting family last week on the other side of the Atlantic so I’m still settling back in and trying to get my sleep cycle fixed up (it’s appallingly disorganised still). Hello and welcome to another instalment of The Living Philosophy. Single-strap back quivers may jiggle around a little bit, but a harness quiver will stay relatively motionless. Perhaps the best part about this quiver is that it’s got a 3-point front harness, that will make it a lot more snug when you’re wearing it. because I hate carrying that stuff around). It’s got different compartments (which not all traditional quivers have), and it’s got a little zipper pouch in the back for any extra gear you want to carry (for me, I usually carry an Allen wrench for my recurve, and throw in my keys, credit cards, etc. It’s reversible, so it’s a good option for right-handed archers as well as left-handed archers. Just a heads up!Īs my dad would say, “This one is a beaut.” Made out of tough leather, this model is a little taller-22 inches-so if you use longer arrows (or simply want a deeper pocket with less of the arrow shaft exposed), this is a fantastic option (and it’s sturdy enough for broadheads or judo-points). The only thing to keep in mind-and I don’t usually care about this sort of thing, but I know many traditional archers do, so I’ll mention it-is that it’s not actual leather it’s a synthetic material that looks a lot like leather. If you’re into cosplay or Ren Faires, this is a nice option, because it actually looks the part. It’s for both lefties and righties, so that’s nice. Perhaps the nicest feature is that it has a foam bottom, so you can feel safe putting broadheads or field tips into it. The piece fits about 20 to 24 arrows, which is more than you need if you’re just taking this to the range. This one is 19 inches tall, so just like the OMP Mountain Man, a good portion of your arrow shafts will be exposed (and again, that’s a good thing). This has a really interesting leather crown on the top of it, which I love: if you’re going to get a traditional back quiver, why not have it actually look like a traditional back quiver? We get stuck behind that a lot and have to go back and read the entire book again because my ASD kiddo is a completionist. I understand wanting to thwart cheaters but it needs to account for the length of the book and words per page or wpm. Lastly, it’s incredibly frustrating to read a book (at the preset pace of “read to me” no less…) and be told at the end “Go Back and Keep Reading!” because its decided that you’re reading too quickly even if its a board book with 3 words per page, or a DIY book or reference book.
